CO2 Manager Software at the Kırklareli Fair

We participated for the first time in the 4th Kırklareli Agriculture, Livestock, Food, Industry, and Automotive Fair this year. At this important event, we introduced our innovative CO2 Manager software and met with industry experts and visitors.

Throughout the fair, we shared insights on the importance of carbon management in the industrial sector and future regulatory developments. We emphasized that our CO2 Manager software is certified with the "Greenhouse Gas Emission Calculation Tool Validity Certificate" by the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) and provides a solution in compliance with international standards.

Being part of this successful organization has led to great interest both nationally and internationally. You can watch our video to check out our interview at the fair.

Industry Professionals Informed: Carbon Footprint Calculations and

Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)

An important informational meeting was featured in the "Sustainability" section of the 697th issue of the Industrial Newspaper, published between September 30 and October 6, 2024, in collaboration with the Istanbul Anatolian Side Organized Industrial Zone (İAYOSB) and CO₂ Manager. The meeting aimed to raise awareness among industry professionals about carbon footprint calculations and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

Purpose and Scope of the Meeting

The meeting addressed the effects of carbon emissions, one of the leading causes of global warming, on industrialists. A detailed discussion took place on the importance of calculating carbon footprints and how this affects sustainability and economic competitiveness. Organized by İAYOSB and CO₂ Manager, the event provided practical information to industrialists on how to calculate carbon footprints while emphasizing the need for a transition to more sustainable production methods.

Sustainability and Carbon Footprint Reduction

Can Avşar, Environmental Protection and Control Unit Manager at İAYOSB and Environmental Engineer, pointed out the increasing obligation for businesses to reduce their carbon footprints due to rising regulations and consumer demands. Avşar stated that the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism aims to impose additional taxes on the import of carbon-intensive products, pushing industrialists towards more sustainable production methods. He also provided detailed information on the processes of measuring, reporting, and verifying greenhouse gas emissions within the framework of the ISO 14064-1 standard.

Economic Competitiveness and Environmental Sustainability

Another critical topic of the meeting was the impact of reducing carbon emissions on economic competitiveness. The event, organized by İAYOSB and CO₂ Manager, emphasized the need for industrialists to adopt environmentally friendly production methods while maintaining business continuity. Speakers included Haki Yavuz from Ethic Metal, Osman Nuri Dede, and Utku Korkmaz. Practical examples of carbon footprint calculations were presented to the industrialists, highlighting how such initiatives strengthen steps toward sustainability.

Raising Awareness Among Industrialists

The well-attended meeting provided a vital platform for encouraging industrialists to adapt to environmentally friendly production processes. Reducing carbon emissions and adopting environmentally conscious production methods are crucial for both environmental sustainability and economic competitiveness. These kinds of events are expected to raise awareness among industrialists and encourage them to take necessary actions toward sustainability.

In conclusion, the awareness meeting organized by İAYOSB and CO₂ Manager laid the groundwork for industrialists to take significant steps towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainability.
